About
"Changes in Latitudes"
Aloha!!! We're glad you stopped
by.
In case you haven't seen us yet, Changes
In Latitudes is one of America's premier tribute shows to
singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, the master of the
tropical lifestyle. We are a nine-piece band with a singular plan, to
take you to Margaritaville. Our show is good clean fun;
we aim to offend no one, and entertain everyone. Every set is a party,
with beach balls flying, dancing conga lines, and leis galore. It's one
exciting show. Oh yes, and the music. You know more Jimmy Buffett songs
than you think you do, and we'll prove it. Let us bring our rolling
beach party to you.
For the true Parrot Heads out there, we are an
authentic tribute show. We've captured the look, feel, and sound of a
real Buffett concert. We are to Buffett what "Beatlemania" is
to the Beatles. The only thing we don't provide is the tailgate
party before the show. (Of course, you can always have your own).
So, if you're ready for a "Latitude
Adjustment", break out your grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts, kick
off your shoes, and join the beach party.
It's all about da beach, mon!
About
Steve Kareta:
Steve Kareta
is a travel junkie, spending endless weeks in Hawaii and the Caribbean, soaking up the tropical island lifestyle.
After all that exhaustive research, he's here to share it with you.
He's
spent most of his waking hours with a guitar in hand, toes in the sand,
strummin' along with Buffett songs for, oh, the past 25 years or so.
A
professed Parrot Head, he's followed Jimmy Buffett from New England to
Florida, from New York to Las Vegas. For a while, he toured as a pro
audio engineer for folks like Joe Cocker, Paul Anka, Peter Wolf, and the
10,000 Maniacs. He took some time to learn how to fly.
Bought one boat, then a second, now a third (see
it here). He put
together Changes in Latitudes just for fun, and now
it's his full-time "job". Gotta love someone who loves
their work. Steve has also recently signed a publishing deal with
Doyle Grisham of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band for his original
music, and Doyle will be playing on "Changes" next original
music CD!!! All seriousness aside, he holds a Ph.D. (Parrot
Head Degree) from the University Of Margaritaville -- Bachelor
Of Fun!!!
